Teaching classes began in 1995 at the Michael's Store to adults in the classroom with windows. At that time a few friends wanted to learn how to paint, and it blossomed into popular classes with waiting lists. Many onlookers in the checkout lines decided to try painting from watching others. It was a fun and exciting time, and I enjoyed helping people learn how to use the brushes, mix paint colors and create their masterpieces. For several years I taught the local 4-H Club kids as their Painting Project Leader. They learned the process and techniques, as well as how to present their pieces to the 4-H judges for county fair, a great learning experience for them.
Practice is the key to becoming fluent in any style of painting. Painting at home is essential. I have enjoyed many years of instructing classes at stores, private groups and conventions. I continue to love painting and hope to help adults and children attain knowledge, experience and happiness with their pieces.
